1. To change the camera to have shutter speed priority, I simply had to change the dial on the top of the camera to the setting "Shutter Speed priority".
2. What happened when I changed shutter speed was that the picture would either become blurry or sharper depending on how long it took to take the photo. For instance 1/3 shutter speed is really blurry because it took longer to take the photo so more movement was captured while 1/1000 shutter speed is extremely sharp 3. You would want to use shutter speed either to capture a moment completely still in time or to show the passage of time in a photo. For instance you could use 1/3 shutter speed while taking a picture of a highway to have the cars appear blurry and in turn appear faster. You could also use 1/1000 shutter speed of a person running to freeze their movement and capture that exact frame in time. 4. Shutter Speed notes

B. Ammonium iron(III) citrate and potassium ferricyanide for the paper. C. What I did to create a cyanotype: 1. I made a double negative to be turned into a cyanotype. 2. Next, I placed the double negative, a J symbol, and $ sign on a piece of paper that has been coated with the ammonium iron citrate and potassium ferricyanide. 3. I then brought the paper outside where it stayed in the sun for 5 minutes. 4. After the 5 minutes was up, I brought the paper inside where Mrs. Moncure submerged the photo in distilled water. 5. The photo was then changed to blue and looks like how it is in the after shot. There once was a dragon who in just like in every classic tale, wreaked havoc across the land. Despite its...plushy appearance, this dragon has been ravaging this land for half a century. This ferocious creature was known to spew fire from his mouth for days on end before falling into a deep sleep for a period of 3 days. Once asleep the dragon would not wake up under any circumstances. Because the surrounding villages weapons were all seen to be ineffective, the villages banded together to summon three nameless champions, sealed away and forgotten by the passage of time. a legendary boxer , a masked fighter. and finally a masterful swordsman. The village leaders pleaded with the forgotten heroes to save their land. All having a righteous sense of justice, the champions all agreed to save the villages. The journey was a perilous one. The men had to travel up to the highest mountain to reach the domain of the dragon. The heroes used to the cover of the tall grass in the prairie leading to the mountain to hide their presence from the beast. All hoping for the dragon to not notice them, the heroes pressed forward to the peak of the mountain. The men had finally reached the mountain at the peak of the third day. They had found the dragon at the root of a gigantic tree. If the heroes want to save the village, now was the only time to strike. They sent the swordsman up to kill the beast. The swordsman wielded a one of a kind sword which could pierce even the sharpest shield. The other two stood at the foot of the tree in case the swordsman failed to kill the beast. The swordsman climbed the sleeping dragon and with one strike, plunged the sword directly into the the dragon's neck. The beast's skin was pierced which caused a fatal would that killed the dragon almost instantly. The brave champions had completed their task by finally slaying the beast. With a breath of relief, the men chopped off the head of the beast and brought it to the village as proof of their accomplishment. The villagers rejoiced at the sight of the head and the village leader called for a feast in celebration of the dragon finally being killed. After the feast had concluded, the three heroes said their farewells to the village leader and left the village. The only issues were that these heroes were hundreds of years old and have no one to go to and no home to return to. With nowhere to go and no funds to their name, the men agreed to join forces to make a new name for themselves in this new era. Staring into the sun, the men made their way to the plains where they would travel the world in search of a new adventure.
This assignment was testing out how to use aperture effectively. To learn about aperture we set three boxes in different locations, with each box being further back than the last box. As shown, the first picture only had the box most in the foreground, and each picture would put the next box into focus. This is done with the different levels of aperture, for example. having a f/stop at 1.8 would make the hole that lets light into the camera become small which would make a much sharper image for the object in focus, but would make the background very blurry. And this principle works the opposite way with have an f/stop at 16 would have the foreground and the background in focus.

Camera Obscura is when an image is projected into a dark room where the image then becomes inverted. The image being projected is typically from a hole in the wall that leads to the outside. During class, Mrs. Moncure covered all the windows with black paper to darken the room as much as possible. She then made a small hole in the paper that led to the window. She then had us look at a box which the light from outside then projected onto which created an inverted image.
